Los Angeles – In response to an unequivocal and detailed policy statement today by Hillary Clinton in favor of LGBT rights, Equality California Executive Director Rick Zbur issued the following statement:
“Today’s policy statement is just another reason why Equality California is proud of its decision earlier this year to become the first major LGBT organization to endorse Hillary Clinton for president,” said Rick Zbur, executive director of Equality California. “This is more than a broad voicing of support for our community. Her statement today laid out point-by-point why Secretary Clinton remains the best candidate to advance LGBT equality on a national scale, from pledging to help end the epidemic of violence against transgender people, to fighting for the rights of LGBT parents, to helping to defend vulnerable LGBT youth, seniors and veterans. There can be no doubt that Hillary Clinton will be a strong ally in the White House to the LGBT community. Her policy platform on LGBT issues is truly groundbreaking.”
